We already know we’re pretty spoiled when it comes to the weather in Encinitas. So even though the first “official” day of spring was March 20th, some may say it feels like spring year-round. And lately, it’s been feeling a lot more like summer with this beautiful, warm weather. At least Spring gives us another reason (not that we needed one) to get out and enjoy some fresh air in our beautiful city! Check out some of the fun events taking place in Encinitas, Leucadia, and Cardiff during the next couple of months before the busy summer begins.

  • Taste of Leucadia: Thursday, April 6th, 5:30pm-8:30pm

    Taste of Leucadia features all local restaurants, retailers and craft brewers. There are three types of tickets available: Food tastings, food and sips, or sips only.   • Encinitas Spring Street Fair: April 29, April 30, 9am-5pm

    The Encinitas street fair is a 2-day fair, stretching from D Street to J street along Coast Highway 101. The booths feature vendors of homemade crafts, art, antiques and more! You’ll even find a fantastic selection of international food, rides, and entertainment in the heart of downtown Encinitas. It’s fun for the entire family!

  • Encinitas Spring Egg Hunt: April 15th

    Spend the day at Encinitas Community Park featuring an egg hunt, live shows, and free children’s activities from 10:00am to 1:00pm. This event is free for kids of all ages! Just provide your own basket or bag for the eggs.

  • Taste of Cardiff: May 4th, 5pm-8:30pm

    Much like taste of Leucadia, Taste of Cardiff will feature different local restaurants, retailers and craft brewers in downtown Cardiff-by-the-Sea and Cardiff Restaurant Row. So you can go to both events, yet still experience a tasty assortment while supporting local businesses.   • Chocolate Festival: May 13th, 10am-4pm

    San Diego Botanic Garden’s famous chocolate festival takes place the day before Mother’s Day. The perfect place pace to take mom, and the rest of the family to enjoy a range of chocolate tastings as well as children’s activities, music, and Mother’s Day gifts.
